Rochdale Legal Enterprise (RLE) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that aims to provide affordable legal services to individuals in the region. Our mission is to provide accessible and high-quality legal advice and representation to those in need. We are a not-for-profit organization that takes pride in our social responsibility.
Our Story
RLE was established in response to the government's decision to end legal aid for employment and immigration matters in 2013. This decision left many individuals without access to legal representation, and it was at this point that we saw the need for a new, innovative approach to providing legal services. We received funding from the Transition Fund and The Baring Foundation to test a solution to provide low-cost, quality legal advice. Our services are designed to complement the initial advice work given by generalist advice organizations, such as Citizens Advice Bureau.
Our Services
We offer a range of services in both Employment Law and Immigration & Asylum Law. In employment law, we provide services such as unfair dismissal claims, settlement agreements, and breach of contract claims. We also offer representation in employment tribunals and attend meetings and disciplinary hearings. In immigration and asylum law, we provide services such as visa applications, asylum claims, and appeals. Our solicitors are experienced in dealing with complex cases and ensuring successful outcomes.

Our solicitors have a deep understanding of the law and are committed to ensuring that our clients receive the best possible outcome. Shabana Ahmad is one of our solicitors who has a particular interest in family immigration, nationality, and European regulations. She is a Law Society Accredited Immigration & Asylum Level 2 Senior Caseworker and Supervisor and can assist clients in making various applications to the Home Office and British Embassies overseas.

Fixed Fees and Appointments
We offer a range of fixed fees for our services, including one-hour consultations at 50. We also offer a free 30-minute face-to-face and telephone advice service. Our solicitors are available to meet with clients at our office in Rochdale or can provide representation by phone or video conference.
