Our journey began in 1982 when Martin Astle opened the Burton upon Trent branch of the law practice under the name Bakewells. Jean Paterson joined the firm in 1983, bringing with her a strong commercial team. Under the guidance of Martin Astle, who had been practising law since 1963, and Jean Paterson, the firm grew and gained a reputation as a leading practice in family law. In 1996, Bakewells moved to Horninglow Street, Burton upon Trent, and continued to thrive. On 1st June 2007, Bakewells Solicitors officially changed its name to Astle Paterson Ltd.
